This policy explains how The Oddball Ark handles information when you use our website, keeper tools, directory, and paid plans.
Information we collect
We collect account details such as your email and display name; animal, tank, breeding, care, medication, and expense records you choose to enter; breeder applications, reviews, photos, and discount proof documents; support messages; and basic technical information such as browser, device, IP address, and service activity used for security and reliability.
Payments
Stripe processes subscription payments. The Oddball Ark receives billing identifiers, subscription status, plan, renewal dates, and limited transaction information needed to provide paid access and support. We do not receive or store your full card number or card security code.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, provide keeper tools and public features you enable, process subscriptions and discounts, review breeder listings, respond to support, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and understand and improve service reliability.
Sharing and public content
We share data with service providers that host the app, store files, process payments, and support essential operations. We do not sell personal information. Approved breeder listings and reviews are public. Animal or tank information is public only when you enable a share link. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect rights, safety, animals, or the service.
Cookies and local storage
We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as your selected state, protect checkout, and maintain service operation. We may use limited analytics to understand aggregate usage. Blocking essential storage can prevent account features from working.
Retention
We retain account and keeper records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for recovery, security, dispute handling, and legal obligations. Payment and transaction records may be retained as required by tax and financial laws. Deleted data can remain temporarily in encrypted backups before routine expiry.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted transport, private file storage where appropriate, and account-scoped database rules. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so use a unique password and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
Your choices and rights
You can update account details, edit or delete many records, disable public share links, and cancel a subscription from Billing. Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection regarding personal information. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where law permits or requires it.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it.
