Diet
An omnivore diet of lean protein, vegetables, some fruit and a calcium source, carefully portioned. Raccoons gain weight fast. Cat and dog food should not be a staple.
Health basics
Raccoons can carry roundworm (Baylisascaris), which is dangerous to people, so regular deworming and hygiene matter. There is no approved rabies vaccine for raccoons, which affects what happens after any bite.
